It has been said that the more things change, the more they stay the same. As our company continues to evolve in its 40th year, Najarian Associates remains committed to providing the highest level of service to our clients.

This year marked the retirement of Ray Papa, our esteemed Director of Land Development for over 30 years. Ray’s outstanding service helped establish our reputation as a leader in the development community. We are proud to announce the promotion of Peter Ciliberto to carry on that role. Peter worked closely with Ray on residential and commercial development projects for over 31 years, which facilitated a smooth transition. During that period, Peter was responsible for the design of more than 3,000 residential units and 1.5 million square feet of commercial space. Additionally, his expertise in storm water management has remedied many failing recharge basins.

This year also marked the retirement of Harry Widdis, who served an exemplary career as Director of Surveying for over 25 years. Najarian Associates welcomes John J. Dziemian to assume Harry’s role. Mr. Dziemian is a former president of his NJSPLS chapter and served in various capacities on the NJSPLS Board of Directors in the early 2000’s. John also has a multi-disciplinary background as a practicing Professional Land Surveyor, educator, and published researcher.

Bob Kuhne, our former Director of Public Services, resigned to accept a new position in the public sector. For over 15 years, Bob played a key role in our expansion into that sector by providing capital project support to many county and municipal clients. Consequently, that provided an opportunity to promote our own exceptionally capable John Freeman to replace Bob as Director of Public Services. For more than ten years, John worked directly with our county and municipal clients in project design, management, budgeting, bid collaboration, and construction administration, again ensuring continuity of service. We thank Ray, Harry, and Bob for their years of service, and Najarian wishes them all the best.

Changes in staff are always made with the company’s best interest and potential for future growth in mind, so that we can continue to live up to our reputation for providing excellent service while addressing future market needs. Plans for our Land Development group include expanding services for retail and commercial development so that we can satisfy the growing demand for transit villages, town/urban centers, and other mixed-use properties. Our Environmental Services group will continue to provide storm water management support for residential and commercial development projects. We will also continue to be a leader in the realm of water resource planning and management. Our Public Services / Capital Projects group is poised to meet that sector’s growing infrastructure maintenance and rehabilitation needs, including traffic and roadway improvements, and design of parks and recreational facilities.
