Vajira Gunawardana, PE and Peter Ciliberto, PE collaborated on a plan presented by Vajira before the Franklin Township Planning Board to erect a 9-foot-tall statue of John F. Kennedy walking with his son, John Jr., as part of a memorial for a shopping plaza at 2 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Franklin Township, Somerset County, NJ. The memorial plaza will be renamed as ‘JFK Plaza’ and showcase interactive screens detailing the former President’s life. The Plaza will also include benches and a flagpole proudly displaying the Star Spangled Banner next to the statue, and the memorial will be illuminated every night between dusk and dawn. Najarian Associates is proud to be a part of this project, which was approved unanimously by the Planning Board.
