About Us
1979 – Najarian, Thatcher & Associates, Inc. was established by two MIT researchers working out of an office in Bergen County, NJ. The company’s founding mission was to introduce revolutionary and practical approaches to solving hydraulic and environmental challenges for public entities, water supply commissions, and utility, sewer, and wastewater authorities.
1982 – T.O. Najarian & Associates, Inc. was formed by president and principal Dr. Tavit O. Najarian. The new company relocated to Monmouth County, NJ, expanding its areas of expertise to include land development and planning services. Najarian Associates was fortunate to welcome a national legacy builder as one of its earliest clients, requiring the company to add an in-house drafting and survey group and relocate to new offices in Eatontown, NJ (where the company’s current headquarters are located).
2001 – Najarian Associates took another step forward with the creation of its Public Services group, serving the needs of state, county, local government and independent utility and improvement authorities for capital projects / infrastructure improvement, environmental and other permitting, obtaining grants, brownfield remediation, UST & AST permitting and removal.
Today Najarian Associates is celebrating 45 years of service in the public and private sectors as a principle-owned and operated civil engineering and environmental / remediation services consulting group. Our core values include developing a complete understanding of our clients’ needs, maintaining effective communication, and creating quality-driven, innovative engineering solutions that work within project and budget constraints. A multi-disciplinary team collaborates seamlessly to adapt quickly and in real-time to project changes and challenges. Our professionals contribute vast knowledge and practical experience, along with employing the latest in engineering technologies, to achieve results without compromise.
Two key components of our culture are accountability for work product, and mentorship. Longer-tenured professionals contribute practical experience and vast industry knowledge, working directly with junior engineers to ensure that the most appropriate solutions are being implemented efficiently while continuing to fortify our knowledge base.
