The NJDEP Office of Natural Resource Restoration (ONRR) awarded the Borough of Carteret a $6,676,040 grant to construct a 1.4-mile public walkway along the Arthur Kill.  Najarian Associates prepared the application for this grant on behalf of the Borough, and designed a concept plan for the walkway’s southern section.  It will feature a pedestrian bridge, overlooks, decks, bike racks, and other public amenities.  The project will help restore waterfront access in the Borough, and compensate the public for the lost enjoyment of natural resources due to pollution.
